Work In Progress

The Museum and Treasure of the Cathedral opened in 2012 under the Sant’Alessandro Cathedral. Here, during the adjustment works in 2004, several archaeological remains have been discovered, dating back to the X Century B.C. up to the XVI A.D.: prehistoric settlements, Roman domus remains, ruins of the Paleochristian church and the Romanesque cathedral.

With the aim of communicating the different layers existing, Tooteko has designed an installation that combines video animation, video mapping and 3D printing.

A summary video brings together the various phases and layers will be projected on the wall. At the same time, the techniques of videomapping will be used: a three-dimensional videoprojection on a 3D model. The model will show and underline the indications of the video, directly in the physical space.
This support can also be useful for further applications of augmented reality and for greater accessibility of the museum for the visually impaired.
